Bomb Blast Rips Through Kano’s Popular GSM Market
About 20 people were killed in Kano on Wednesday when twin bomb explosions rocked the city’s GSM market, near Farm Market.
A witness however said the first explosion occurred at the market entrance while the second device exploded near a pavilion in the centre of the market.
He only said: “I am on my way to scene of the incident”, in response to TheCable’s inquiry. “We have no idea of the number of casualties”.
Almost 1,500 people have been killed in northern and northeast Nigeria since President Muhammadu Buhari came to power on May 29, according to an AFP tally.
