Bonds set for man arrested naked after Ohio multi-car crash

WCPO Tracy Martin, 44, ran for almost a mile on a busy highway Wednesday evening after crashing into six cars with his truck, Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

He then ran from the wreckage, wearing nary a stitch, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, reported WCPO-TV.

Of the people impacted by the accident, six were taken to nearby hospitals. He then hit a silver Mercedes, causing it to spin out of control, and ended up striking a median wall, which caused his truck to overturn on top of a Jeep. “He’s just kind of jogging”, a 911 caller told a dispatcher.

Martin booked down the fast lane, with drivers trailing in his wake, offering him clothes out of their auto windows, troopers said.

“A black man is running bare butt naked”, said one caller.

“I’m very concerned he’s obviously impaired, there’s something wrong”.

Martin was arrested and charged with aggravated vehicular assault, vehicular assault, and ocular assault with a deadly ding dong.

“He had his hands in the air and was yelling explicit language”, Trooper Kyle Doebrich said.

Officials said that a trooper caught up with Martin more than a kilometre south of the crash and took him into custody with help from an off-duty Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputy. AirCare was called to the scene and transported two people to UC Medical Center.

Martin was being held at Bethesda North Hospital undergoing drug testing, according to Sgt. The crash remains under investigation.
