Booting Up: iPad Pro a blank canvas – for better or worse
Perhaps the best thing about the iPad Pro, besides the screen and speakers, is the battery life.
This is the first time Apple itself has produced a magnetic Smart Keyboard for the iPad.
Both the keyboard and stylus designed specifically for the Pro are showing four to five week shipping estimates with no option to pick up in-store.
Unlike the Apple iPad Pro, all accessories like the keyboard are all available now.
However, instead of any announcement and details involving the iPad Air 3, the new Apple iPad Pro was launched. A physical keyboard from Apple costs $169 extra, and the Apple Pencil sells for $99.
All this does, perhaps, gives us a clue as to why the Pro is making its way to Apple Stores around the world as I write.
On iPad Pro, users can work with two Office apps simultaneously, as the apps support iOS 9’s Split View capabilities. But that weight will become noticeable pretty quick if you’re carrying Apple’s newest, biggest and most expensive tablet around with you all day long.
Another hint that the laptops may not come anytime soon is Cook’s statement that iPad Pro is the most powerful tablet in the line.
Apple iPad Pro – which starts from £679 in the United Kingdom – has a 2732 x 2048 resolution, which works out as a Retina-worthy 264pixels-per-inch.
With that said, how do you like the iPad Pro? With Microsoft looming large behind it, Apple is not innovating, but just keeping pace with its own development cycle. Thinking about giving or getting an iPad Pro this holiday season?
In a few widely reported comments, Apple CEO Tim Cook has said “I think if you’re looking at a PC, why would you buy a PC any more?”
The iPad Pro is a large 12.9-inch tablet; one of the largest to come out, rivaling the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is also a large one at 12.3 inches screen size.
Apple seems to have a problem this time with the iPad.
According to the American multinational technology company, iPad Pro contains the A9X chip which is faster than the 80% of PC that shipped this year.
The iPad Pro is aimed at productivity users and can edit up to three streams of 4K video simultaneously.
It only makes sense that the App Store would include special sections that highlight apps made exclusively for the Apple iPad Pro.
