Chairman JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik while commenting over the outcome of the meet termed it disastrous that Kashmir has been sidelined by the two countries. But the way this process has been turned futile and non-serious in case of Jammu and Kashmir has created doubts in the minds of common people and the people of the state have lost faith in this institution. He argued that Indian Prime Minister accept that 1971 incident occurred with help of India.
New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said the joint statement issued by India and Pakistan in Russian Federation was a “step forward” in normalizing bilateral relations.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Pervez Rashid said that neighbors cannot be changed.
This is due to the huge amount of subsidy which Indian government gives to its sector and this is the main reason why Pakistan, which before partition, was exporting agriculture items, is now importing those products.
Separatist leaders were raging as the joint statement did not mention the Kashmir issue.
“The meet has indeed disappointed the people of Kashmir. They have held several round of talks during last 68 years but have failed to make any progress especially on Kashmir”, Malik said, adding “putting serious issues on backburner will further ignite the situation” between the two neigbouring nations.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reiterated his invitation to Prime Minister Modi to visit Pakistan for the SAARC Summit in 2016.
Hurriyat-M chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while pitching for the inclusion of Kashmiris in the dialogue process said that Kashmir is a core issue and should be treated as such by both India and Pakistan. However, later the High Commission conveyed to Kashmiri leaders that the Iftar had been postponed. Participants of the protest rally raised slogans in favor of freedom, martyrs and resistance.
Pervaiz Rashid said even in Occupied Kashmir, electioneering is carried out by exploiting the anti-Pakistan sentiments. “They want to proceed towards peace and progress but how can peace be achieved without solving issues that are actually detrimental to it. Kashmir is not a border issue between India and Pakistan, it is the issue related to the future of a living nation called Kashmir”.
