Borussia Dortmund director lifts lid on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang move to Liverpool
New manager Jürgen Klopp is reportedly ready to restore Liverpool to the Premier League’s top echelon soonest as he targets his former Borussia Dortmund player, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, for £35 million when the winter transfer window opens this January.
Klopp has done his utmost to distance himself from raids for his old Dortmund players, saying: “I have no intention whatsoever to lure Dortmund’s stars to Liverpool”.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed a stunning start to the campaign under new head coach Thomas Tuchel, scoring 14 times in as many games in all competitions.
Some outlets are claiming that Jurgen Klopp has requested that the board pursue a deal for Neves.
However, the Gabon global extended his contract until 2020 in July and is considered Dortmund’s first-choice striker, making him a potentially-expensive option. That’s just under £30million. “I did never talk about leaving the team and I’m not even thinking about this”.
That form has increased speculation about a New Year move with Arsenal and Liverpool two clubs rumoured to be interested. Reus is being linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid.
