Bourne 5 details teased by Matt Damon
It’s all pretty vague, and not much to go on, but still, it’s exciting to hear Damon talk about the franchise again, after stepping down from the series to make way for Jeremy Renner’s “The Bourne Legacy” in 2012. However, during an interview with the New York Daily News to promote his new sci-fi film The Martian, Damon finally spilled some information about the film’s story.
Hollywood star Matt Damon may have delighted movie audiences with his return to the Bourne franchise but the actor has told Graham Norton that playing the lead character, Jason Bourne, is beginning to take its toll as he’s no longer as young as he was.
“He put on like 30lb of muscle or something but I’m doing Jason Bourne now so I think I’ve got him”.
Teasing both the plot and the project’s process through development, Damon explained, [Bourne] has his memory back, but that doesnt mean he knows everything. So we have to answer the questions, Wheres he been? You’ll notice, however, that there seems to be a bit of a discrepancy between the number of years Matt Damon describes and the number of years its been since the release of The Bourne Ultimatum. “We were alone in the park when a young Spanish couple came along, saw me, had an exchange and then pulled out a camera”, Damon said. Most recently, Ato Essandoh joined the previously announced Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Julia Stiles.
The untitled fifth part of Bourne series will be directed by Taiwanese-American director Justin Lin and is planned to hit theatres in July 2016.
