Boxer Tyson Fury reveals ambitions to become MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale
Fury said in a series of Tweets it was his ambition to fight for the constituency of Morecambe and Lunesdale, claiming he would be “the best MP ever”.
The eccentric star, whose fight against Wladimir Klitschko was recently postponed, took to Twitter to announce his plans to run against current Conservative MP David Morris at the 2020 General Election.
“We need to build on the foundations, we have steadily to make change”. “My opinions on travellers are different to refugees – we are not talking about people coming over from Romania – they are British people”.

Speaking to the BBC, the 27-year-old said he wants to direct attention to “our own brothers and sisters who are on the streets and abusing drugs and alcohol” rather than on in the issue of immigration.
The Irish boxer believes the economy has become “slightly better” over the last three years in terms of unemployment, with “people coming back to pubs and bars“.
Last week he donned a Batman outfit at a press conference in the run-up to his showdown with Klitschko. And despite not having any experience in politics, Fury has already started on his political platform – saying he does not want the United Kingdom to be apart of the European Union, referencing economic problems in Spain, Greece, and Italy.
Rumours and speculation have been rife over social media on both sides of the fence, questioning whether Fury has indeed got to Klitschko psychologically, or whether it is actually a tactical master-stroke by the champion, upsetting Fury’s momentum, training camp and rhythm, as he prepares for the biggest fight of his life.
