Boy George, Jack Black team for Doors tribute

It has been almost 45 years since The Doors’ lead singer, Jim Morrison, died, so the performance seems like a great way to remember him.
The supposedly spontaneous collaboration stemmed from host Conan O’Brien’s question about Boy George’s musical influences.
George said growing up “I never got past the 70’s”.
Jack Black and Boy George both happen to be big fans of The Doors.
“What’s wrong with the Doors?” “I love the Doors“. Black hammed it up in usual Black fashion, and Boy George sounded excellent, warbling his way through it in Morrison-esque fashion.

“It’s amusing. So much of that makes sense to me, but when you say The Doors, I don’t hear that influence”. As the studio audience cheered, the singers obliged. Boy George and Jack Black were then invited to perform a song by The Doors, accompanied by The Doors’ longtime guitarist, Robby Krieger.
