Boy snatched by gator is presumed dead

It’s said the Orange County Sheriff’s dive team recovered the youngster’s lifeless body completely intact.
The child was wading in shallow water on the beach of the manmade Seven Seas Lagoon when his father heard a splash and saw his son in the mouth of an alligator. He said investigators would also review whether the boy’s parents should be charged, but it is not likely.
Search crews combed the water for hours before they found the toddler’s remains. Five died while swimming in lakes, rivers and canals.
A television station reported that only one alligator warning sign was spotted on the property and that was at a small pond.
According to the wildlife commission’s website, at least 23 people have been killed by Florida alligators since 1973. Five alligators were taken from the lagoon after the boy went under. If not, the search for alligators in the lake will continue.
Nick Wiley, executive director of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, believes there’s a good chance they captured the alligator responsible for Lane’s death, but plans to confirm through forensics procedures.
While “no swimming” signs are posted at the beach where the boy was attacked, no signs warn about alligators. “To come here with your family and (be) having this great time”.

Demmings also said that an autopsy will be performed on the boy’s body but it was being assumed that the alligator drowned the boy and he died because of it.
Orange County Sheriff Jerry Deming’s confirmed at a press conference that the boy’s body had been found and identified.
Mr Graves desperately tried to save him, suffering lacerations to the hand, but was unable to pull him free.
Will and Melissa Graves were visiting from Omaha, Nebraska, and nothing indicates they committed any crime that contributed to the alligator grabbing their son, Lane Graves.
