Boyfriend of murdered NLR mother named as suspect
– Police say an Arkansas woman posted selfies on social media that appeared to show her boyfriend pointing a gun at her head – just hours before he allegedly fatally shot her in the head.
She also sent a Snapchat showing her smiling at the camera while her boyfriend held a gun behind her head, according to KARK-TV Channel 4.
Stephanie Hernandez, 21, mother of two, posted snaps of herself and her boyfriend, Rafael Gonzalez, at the new house they were in the midst of moving into on Sunday.
Using the pictures as evidence, authorities arrested Gonzalez, 20, the following day and charged him with first degree murder.
He explained that she had recently moved into the home with roommates and had landed a new job that she was to start on Monday. I was just here with her yesterday!
“I knew his history and everything, and I knew he was a bad influence”, Davis told KATV. “I wanted to tell her. I wanted her to come with me actually when I left”, Davis said.
Gonzalez and Hernandez were said to have an unsteady relationship.
Police have located a.45 caliber green pistol and a box of ammunition believed to be linked to the shooting.
Hernandez is survived by her daughters, a three-year-old and a eight-month-old, now being taken care of by Hernandez’s family. It is unclear whether Gonzalez has an attorney. Those little girls deserve justice for their mama. They’re going to go through enough trauma growing up without a mom – at least they didn’t have to witness her gruesome death.
