Brabus Zero Emission makes the Tesla Model S slightly more ‘Ludicrous’
Having made a name for itself with its Mercedes-Benz and Smart tunes, Brabus now wants a piece of the Tesla Model S cake. This formula was also realized successfully in the case of the Tesla Model S. Tailor-made aerodynamic-enhancement components that received their finishing touches in the wind tunnel were developed using state-of-the-art 3D scanning and CAD technology.
The Tesla’s front end is given a sporty facelift here, and the carbon attachments for the side air intakes give the car a more distinctive appearance and optimise the flow of air to the radiators. Seeing room for expansion into the burgeoning all-electric car world, Brabus created an EV-tuning arm, Brabus Zero Emission (BZE), which has turned its attention to the Tesla P85D. “Completing the exterior upgrades are bespoke Brabus monobloc Platinum Edition 21” wheels.
In typical Brabus style, the customisations continue into the cabin.
“The rims of size 9Jx21 at all four corners make optimal use of the available space under the wheel arches”, Brabus said.
The German tuner has officially unveiled during the 2015 IAA Frankfurt motor show its program for the American electric car, with the Model S undergoing some “surgery” in terms of interior and exterior design – and the company has even added it would “expand continuously” this new endeavor. The alloys were changed for 21-inch that have Pirelli or Yokohama rubber and different sizes for front and rear. The integrated cup holders can be set to cooling or heating and the center console is equipped with a wireless smartphone charger.
