Brady breaks record in 26-10 win
Brady Never Let Up On Sunday – The best part about Sunday’s game was obviously seeing Brady set the All-Time career win total record with his 201st victory in front of the home crowd, but how he handled it was even more incredible.
Tom Brady has put himself in the record books in yet another category. As NESN’s Doug Kyed pointed out, Gronkowski and Bennett were on the field at the same time for just 27 percent of snaps. With the loss, the 4-8 Rams remain in third place among four NFC West Division teams. “Errors are going to happen; you just want to limit them”.
“This time it was to play a game, so I was thankful for the opportunity”.
“It feels like a broken record, year after year”, said Lance Kendricks, a Rams tight end since 2011. Next week, the resurgent Baltimore Ravens are coming to town.
Brady stayed humble and gracious as usual, but his teammates did some bragging for him, congratulating him for the accomplishment.
As the game ended, Brady accepted congratulations from his teammates and also members of the Rams’ roster and coaching staff; some fans in south end zone area brought signs that read “BRADY GOAT #201” to commemorate the occasion. “There’s been a lot of football over the years”. Chiefs, Patriots and Lions won.
“We’re in the locker room with a walking legend”, said cornerback Malcolm Butler, whose Super Bowl interception gave Brady his fourth title.
Blount, who ran for 88 yards on 18 carries, scored his 13th rushing touchdown of the season, one shy of matching Curtis Martin’s club record (1995 and ’96). Those struggles continued Sunday.
The franchise’s second-all-time-leading receiver on Sunday shouted the makings of a lasting moniker that exceeds America’s Team in geographic scope and needling punch: “Greatest team on (bleeping) earth!” declared Brown during halftime ceremonies at Gillette Stadium honoring the 2001 Patriots, a team of first-time believers in Bill Belichick that launched this dynasty that marches on.
When the Rams played in London, three different National Football League games beat them in the local television market.
The Rams finally crossed midfield, and got on the scoreboard, midway through the third quarter on Greg Zuerlein’s 44-yard field goal, but the Patriots quickly got two more scores. Fortunately it could have been worse, and hopefully Amendola comes back ready to go after he recovers.
The inevitable hit the Rams on Sunday afternoon.
“Like I’ve said, I’ve watched him since I was in eighth grade and I’ve been here for eight years, so that tells you something”, said Edelman. I mean, he’s a great player. “I look up to that”. The play would be a microcosm for the game, as the Panthers likely saw their playoff chances go out the window with the loss.
“We always preach that we have to start fast”, Blount said.
Gostkowski had a flawless outing on Sunday.
The student, of course, was Goff, the Rams rookie quarterback who managed just 161 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions and a 43.9 passer rating.
Chris Long said all the proper things this week, and so did the Rams. It was a great game. A wide open Ladarius Green caught a Steeler pass for another touchdown with just over three minutes left in the third. “We hit him a lot and he’s getting better every week”. It was a good throw. “Whatever formations and groupings we run and plays we run, we try to gain an advantage and where we think we can gain advantage we try to take advantage of it”.
