‘Brady Bunch’ Kids Pay Tribute to TV Mom Florence Henderson
It was never revealed whether Henderson’s character was divorced or widowed, but she navigated the trials of parenthood with aplomb as the children of “The Brady Bunch” struggled to adapt to their new step-siblings. “And she really was able to make him feel comfortable and cared a great deal for and about him”.
Henderson was known to TV audiences as Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch, and reprise the role in various Brady Bunch spin-offs and TV movies.
Barry Williams, who played her eldest son, Greg, and has admitted to having developed a serious crush on his TV mom during the series’ run, also expressed his condolences about the loss of his “life long friend” on social media on Friday.
Kayla Pressman said in a statement late Thursday that Henderson passed away surrounded by family and friends. But even before the Brady Bunch, she was a star in musical theater.
Oscar-winning actresses Marlee Matlin and Patricia Arquette were among those who marked her passing on Twitter. But the most astonishing thing seems to them is that it was an unexpected death of Florence.
“My heart right now is going to her four children”, Olsen, 55, told the site.
“She gave us advice on what to wear and eat”, Applegate said. Along with the co-workers, the big personality of the Hollywood is also in shock of this sad news.
“I loved the way she treated people”, he said.
Henderson’s life story wasn’t as ideal as the one she was a part of on TV. The actress, 82, continued with her daily lifestyle and activities. “I don’t think Robert Reed was overly comfortable at first working with her”, Williams said. Henderson later married hypnotherapist John Kappas, who died in 2002. Henderson had since appeared in everything from Murder, She Wrote to Roseanne, 30 Rock to Dancing With the Stars.
