Brady (Illness), Gronkowski (Personal) Miss Patriots Practice Friday In Foxboro
In this September 9, 2012 photo, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) leaves the field after defeating the Tennessee Titans 34-13 in an NFL football game, in Nashville, Tenn.
The Patriots got a small scare on Friday when Tom Brady missed practice due to an illness.
The injury report also listed linebacker Eric Martin with a concussion and linebacker Jonathan Freeny with an injured hand, and said they would also likely miss the game on Sunday.
BRONCOS: Peyton Manning’s left foot was sore Friday so he didn’t practice after running Denver’s scout team for two days. It means there’s a 50-50 chance that Brady will play Sunday.
Wright will miss his second straight game with a rib injury, making that five of the past seven games for the Titans (3-10).
Brady is expected to play Sunday when the Patriots host the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans also claimed wide receiver and returner Damaris Johnson off waivers from the Patriots (11-2) on Thursday, but coach Mike Mularkey said Johnson only arrived Friday morning.
Rob Gronkowski, who missed practice Friday because of a personal issue, is listed as probable. Although the cause of Gronkowski’s absence is not known, according to sources close to the team, it is not related to the knee injury that he suffered several weeks ago.
