Brady shoulders the blame as Pats drop to 10-2

The New England Patriots aren’t in crisis mode, but losing to the Philadelphia Eagles, with their dysfunctional coach-quarterback tandem of Chip Kelly and Sam Bradford, is definitely something to worry about for Tom Brady and co. The Patriots’ bid for a ideal season was derailed in an overtime defeat at Denver last week, but they have gone 56 consecutive regular-season games without suffering back-to-back defeats.

Eagles linebacker Najee Goode scored on a 24-yard return of the first New England punt block in 97 tries.

After the Patriots recovered Eagles Running Back Kenjon Barner‘s fumble, Brady was given one minute to do his magic. Patriots receivers dropped three passes in a row to turn the ball over on downs.

A blocked punt that was run back for a touchdown and a punt return that ended with another touchdown are exactly what cost the Pats for their second straight loss. We just have to play better for 60 minutes and four quarters. The fact that the Patriots didn’t really have a running game allowed them to maximize Curry’s best ability.

Brady had thrown just four interceptions all season – and had never in his career been picked off by the Eagles.
