Braves lose lead, fall to Mets 6-4 after Teheran exits game
A fielding error by rookie shortstop Dansby Swanson and two walks from rookie right-hander Mauricio Cabrera (3-1) loaded the bases to set up the Mets’ four-run inning. After the single by Granderson and double by Johnson, Jose Ramirez hit pinch-hitter Michael Conforto in his shin with a pitch to force in another run.

While the Mets have played very well for Collins over the past few weeks, and he does deserve a ton of credit for providing a calm and steady head in a hard situation, this is not the first time that Collins has had questionable in game choices.

New York’s six-game winning streak ended with Atlanta’s 4-3 victory in 10 innings Saturday, knocking the Mets one-half game behind St. Louis for the final National League wild-card spot. Williams Perez takes the hill, and he’s 2-2 with a 5.47 ERA and 25 strikeouts this season.
Lugo, who was thrust into the rotation following the injuries to Jacob deGrom, Steven Matz, Matt Harvey, Zack Wheeler and Jon Niese, continued to excel as a starter, improving to 4-0 with a 1.80 ERA over his last four outings.
