Liverpool, though, can always be counted on to look to strengthen their youth ranks these days, and they look set to be on the verge of officially signing Brazilian starlet Allan Rodrigues de Souza.
While another first team signing may still be possible, having brought in seven new players already this summer the focus there is likely to be on clearing out a few spare parts before the end of the window.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds are closing in on a deal for the 18-year-old. Typically known as Allan, the player is set to cost the Merseyside club a fee of £500,000. The signings of Joe Gomez, Bobby Adekanye, and Brooks Lennon will add class at a young age for the Reds.
Meanwhile, Uruguayan teenagers Juan Manuel Sanabria, 15, and Agustin Pereira, 16, are also training at Melwood this week as they aim to earn youth contracts with the club.
Allan remains a target for Deportivo La Coruna and previously impressed Anfield chiefs at the Frenz global Cup in January and helped Internacional’s under-18 side to a 3-2 final victory over Estudiantes. The latest first team arrival is Christian Benteke from Aston Villa, while the likes of Firmino have also joined the club for big money too.
