Breadsticks not included in Olive Garden’s $400 New Year’s Eve dinner
Neither restaurant sports views of the ball drop. Included in the price tag is a dinner buffet, multiple open bars, a DJ and dancing and a Champagne toast at midnight.
A $400 ticket will gain you entrance to what is perhaps the most imposing location of Olive Garden in the entire United States.
Italian chain eatery Olive Garden is said to be charging $400 for its New Year’s Eve buffet, and it won’t even include the restaurant’s famed breadsticks, according to media reports.
And even though you can’t possibly see the ball drop at all from Ruby Tuesday, it still costs $349 a person to eat there.
Of course, NJ.com notes that you can avoid the fees and still catch the show for free if your willing to arrive hours early and stand in the freezing weather outside in Times Square. And those are just for basic packages – a “Couple’s VIP Table” at Ruby Tuesday runs at $1,799 online.
Or… you could save a few bucks and watch the ball drop from Applebee’s.
Restaurants in the area are charging a fortune for dinner to ring in the New Year. Parents can also bring their children for $250 a ticket. Even at that price, there’s no view of the traditional ball dropping that welcomes in the the new year.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. has reportedly sold out its dining tickets for $779 per person.
