Brian Hoyer Named Texans Starter

The Houston Texans named Brian Hoyer as their starting quarterback, according to multiple reports Monday. Solomon remarked that Hoyer looked “like a frightened rookie” while Mallett did nothing to either lose or gain ground.

“I think at this point there’s definitely things that need to be corrected and get fixed”, Hoyer said after Saturday’s game. “It’s been everything that I could have hoped for”.

Hoyer and Mallett are just two of several former Patriots on a Texans team that also employs defensive lineman Vince Wilfork and coaches Mike Vrabel, Romeo Crennel and O’Brien – all New England alums.
