Bride’s dad stops wedding to bring stepdad down the aisle, too
If you haven’t already choked up, just wait…Wedding photographer Delia D. Blackburn was there to capture the chain of events in a series of photographs that are so heartwarming it hurts!
Blackburn posted to Facebook that there wasn’t a dry eye at the ceremony.
“He came up to me and reached out and grabbed my hand and he said, ‘Hey, you’ve worked for this as hard as I have”.
When Brittany Peck of LaGrange, Ohio, was walking down the aisle, escorted by father Todd Bachman, her dad chose to invite Peck’s stepfather to join in.
Bachman walked down the aisle by himself to grab the hand of Peck’s stepfather, Todd Cendrosky, who was sitting in one of the first rows with other family members.
Todd felt that they both deserved to be able to walk their daughter down the aisle.
“For me to thank him for all the years of helping raise our daughter wouldn’t be enough”.
“I got weak in the knees and lost it”.
“My parents could not agree on custody of me and my little sister”, she said.
“It hasn’t always been peaches and cream, by any stretch of the imagination”, Bachman said.
The heartfelt photos went viral, and Blackburn’s post racked up over 1,000,000 likes from teary-eyed fans.
The photos from the Ohio wedding have gone viral on the web.
The photos have been shared over 473,750 times on Facebook, with many people commending Bachman for including his daughter’s stepfather in the special moment.
