Brie Larson Circling ‘The Glass Castle’
Brie Larson is gearing up for the release of her next “Room”, which will have a limited release on October 16 before being released nationwide on November 6.
Brie Larson’s profession is on fire today and she or he is being eyed to exchange Jennifer Lawrence as the female direct within the upcoming movie The Glass Citadel. Walls has an artist mother and an alcoholic father who have “ideals and stubborn nonconformity”.
If the deal makes, The Glass Castle would reunite Larson with her Short Term 12 director Destin Daniel Cretton, who is directing the adaptation.
Marti Noxon (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, Fright Night) initially adapted the film’s screenplay with Cretton, with Nicholl Fellowship-winning screenwriter Andrew Lanham performing additional rewrites. The adaptation of Emma Donoghue’s novel debuted to rave reviews at the Telluride Film Festival, as well as the Toronto worldwide Film Festival. She was was recently seen in the Universal pic “Trainwreck”.
Larson’s schedule, which is starting to stack up, might keep her from the role.
The “Hunger Games” actress signed to produce and star “The Glass Castle” in 2013, but eventually dropped it as it’s been delayed for several years already, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Lawrence had been attached to the project since 2012, but reportedly left the project after the producers had trouble finding its male lead.
