British man fatally stabbed in Cyprus holiday resort
Another 22-year-old British man was stabbed four times in the back during the attack, the newspaper said.
Another Briton was wounded during the pre-dawn knife attack, said police in Cyprus.
Cyprus Police are now said to be hunting two men over the attack. He said investigators have been able to track some of the suspects’ movements through closed-circuit television cameras.
A 22-year-old British tourist was murdered in Ayia Napa in the early hours of Sunday morning, Police believe after announcing the death and conducting an early investigation, reported SigmaLive Greek.
Tributes have been paid on social media, with Jason Woods writing on Facebook: “Words can’t describe what you meant to me”. I was lucky to have you as a brother and I am truly heartbroken by this tragedy! Love you so much’.
His pal, also 22, was also attacked but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Another friend, Luke Hepworth, added: “I can’t actually believe this, you was such a laugh mate always brought smiles to people’s faces. You taught me the Napa way my friend”.
A JustGiving page has been set up to raise money for Mr Low’s family. More than £3,000 has been raised so far.
The page’s description reads: “Any donation would be great, but £6,000 is the ultimate goal to bring our handsome friend back from Ayia Napa and have her buried in Coventry, where her friends and family can have a attractive ceremony for her”. One donator, Marina Zapp, posted: “Sleep tight Gorgeous George”.
A Foreign Office spokesman told the Independent that the office is providing support to Low’s family and will communicate with local authorities in the investigation.
