Britney Spears hitches a ride for Corden’s Carpool Karaoke
Britney Spears has admitted she felt “awkward” filming Carpool Karaoke with James Corden.
Britney Spears, who has just released the disc Glory, also reacted to having had to “sing” on two of his biggest hits: Baby One More Time and Oops … “I think it’s just a song”.
Right. Because Britney Spears hasn’t had 18 cameras on her at all times since she was seven. “I’m like, “This is just so awkward, it’s so weird”.
“Glory”, her first release since 2013’s “Britney Jean”, isn’t packed with hit singles (which have become a Spears rarity compared to her early days), but it’s packed with more than enough temptations to satiate fans. The singer opened up about her desire to have three more kids, but doesn’t necessarily want to tie the knot again.
“Oh, my God, and he kept playing them”, she explained while talking to radio station KTU while in New York City on Friday.
“I don’t know what my wife would do if I went home and went, ‘Sweet baby James needs a little bit of a tickling'”.
Spears released her ninth studio album, “Glory”, on August 26.
Britney did look pretty embarrassed throughout most of the sketch as James dressed up in a school uniform with blonde pigtails.
“You’re saying you don’t want to be with anyone, ever, the rest of your life?”
“It’s always been Brad Pitt”, Spears replied when asked who her current celebrity crush is. “But I’ma put you in this blindfold/I just need you to trust me”. This will mark the first time in 10 years Spears has performed on the VMA stage. She lived up to the old adage, “The show must go on.” even when one doesn’t know what is going on. “I Did It Again” were two of the tracks she was sick of hearing on repeat. And I think for most people, that’s a lot of fun. I’ve been through frightful relationships, but unfortunately I still believe in love and I think you should protect your heart and stuff like that, but I am a hopeless romantic.
“Britney Spears will not be contributing in any way, shape or form to the Lifetime biopic”, a statement reads, “nor does it have her blessing”.
Glory makes good use of the freaky flourishes that made “Toxic” one of her best songs, defining the direction of everything’s she’s done since.
