Britney Spears’ raffle to help Louisiana
Las Vegas Strip headliner Britney Spears is helping her home state of Louisiana.
One victor will win roundtrip airfare for two to New York City, get two tickets to the MTV VMAs on 8/28 at Madison Square Garden, and meet Britney at the show before her performance.
The 34-year-old joins stars like Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga, who previously announced their donations to those affected by the catastrophic flooding in Louisiana. The other will take home Spears’ outfit, as well as an autographed album.
Participants can donate to the Britney for Louisiana Crowdrise fund here. The MTV Video Music Awards are scheduled for Sunday, August 28th, where Spears will perform.
With every $10 donation, fans will be entered into the raffle for a chance to win one of two grand prizes.
According to the Red Cross, “Thirteen people died, and about 30,000 people have been rescued from the floods. More than 1,700 Red Cross workers are supporting relief efforts right now”.
Country music icon Tim McGraw, who was born in Delhi, Louisiana, is also stepping up to do his part to help by encouraging his fans to donate to causes supporting the state’s relief efforts. The victor of Britney’s outfit will be announced on September 1.
So, if you have $10 and a giant white snake at home, you are now one lucky lottery ticket away from literally becoming Britney Spears for a few minutes.
In 2010 the songstress auctioned off her outfit from the 2008 VMAs to raise money for Haiti.
