Britney Spears to guest star on The CW’s ‘Jane the Virgin’

The reason the show pursued Spears at all is because they heard that “Jane the Virgin” is one of her favorite shows.

Britney Spears says starring on Jane the Virgin is a “dream come true”.

Once upon a time, Britney Spears appeared on How I Met Your Mother, boosting the ratings of the show back before it had the chance to alienate its entire audience.

She’s so lucky, she’s a star and she gets wonderful cameo spots.

And Jaime Camill, who plays Jane’s delightfully self-absorbed father Rogelio, also welcomed Spears to the cast via Twitter, calling her the “absolute best”.

We can’t wait to see how a Rogelio-Britney “feud” plays out (and it makes total sense that Rogelio is the bigger diva of the two). But the pop goddess will once again grace television with her presence.

Britney Spears is coming to the Marbella! CW boss Mark Pedowitz said that “if the numbers hold” and the producers and stars “want to do it, we’re in”.

Catch Jane the Virgin when it returns on Monday, October 12 at 9:00 p.m. on the CW.

Her Sin City stint is due to end over the New Year weekend, but it is so far unconfirmed if she will be extending the residency further.
