Brock Osweiler named AFC Player of the Week

Manning flew to Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday for a second opinion on his left foot, and his future for the rest of the season and his career remain unclear.

Kubiak has consistently called Manning’s recovery a “day-to-day, week-to-week” affair.

-Quarterback Brock Osweiler was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his 20-of-27, 250-yard, 2-touchdown performance in his starting debut at Chicago last week. “We’ll proceed from there and will continue to support him as he does everything he can to get healthy”.

The Chiefs also have an easy schedule, having no more games to play against a team with a winning record. But if the injury is just a farce; one that makes it a lot easier to force one of the all-time greats of the game to the sidelines or even worse, to the rocking chair, then again, shame on you.

“You got Peyton Manning, you got Brock Osweiler playing really well, (so) who’s your quarterback?” “That’s not news to anybody out there”.

That doesn’t mean they haven’t talked about other things, though. They outplayed the hell out of us today. “I’m going to put in the time and the effort to do it as quick as possible”. “But the guys did not quit”. Maybe now that Manning is gone they’ll finally get to resume their win count over the Patriots when it matters, but not as much. “You see that (stuff), and it makes you wonder”. “But I’ve always realized that my situation was a little bit different”.

The NFC East is still wide open because the division isn’t very good, but with the clear lack of chemistry and togetherness inside the Eagles locker room, it’s hard to imagine that they find a way to be the team that sneaks out of the heap.

Fans will get a good look as to whether or not that’s Osweiler on Sunday night when he faces the undefeated Patriots.

Ponder was credited with leading the Vikings to the playoffs in 2012, the year Adrian Peterson ran for over 2,000 yards, but was unable to play in the team’s playoff game against Green Bay. The result was a Super Bowl win. In 2013, also on Sunday night, New England rallied from 24 points down and won 34-31 – the greatest Patriots comeback of all-time…. He was cut prior to the season and has not played since.

The Denver passing attack is ranked 17th in the league, compared to the 21st-ranked pass defense of New England.

With a short week to prepare, and Thanksgiving mixed in the middle, Brady said getting ready for a tough opponent like Denver comes down to one thing.

Brady leads the head-to-head series 11-5. For now, with an ailing foot the center of attention, the Broncos will concentrate on playing the game against the Patriots and re-evaluate everything else afterward.
