Brock Osweiler to start over Peyton Manning when Denver Broncos play New

The bigger issue here is not bringing Ponder in, but what that means for Peyton Manning.

Is this an indication of the end of the Manning Era in Denver and the NFL?

-Brock Osweiler can hold down the fort. He has an injury in the oblique and one on the foot as well.

Like they did against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, the defensive line and blitzers must have their best game of the year. Though, in a time when teams have been desperate for QBs, he’s still available. All of a sudden, he’s running [head coach] Gary Kubiak’s and, quite frankly, he has just not been effective. And there has also been single coverage, and as Washington coach Jay Gruden said, it’s sort of like defending LeBron James or Steph Curry; you know they’re going to get some points, you just try to limit the damage.

And, by the way, we’ve made this mistake before already this season … with this same team.

Manning has struggled mightily this year and has showed signs of slowing down.

Smith did not replace him, rather the team turned to rookie fourth-round pick Max Garcia.

Mathis was a “name” free agent whom many Broncos fans were happy to add. He battled nagging injuries during the latter half of the preseason, and Mathis ended up with zero game experience by the time Week 1 rolled around. “We’re used to his cadence, his calls, and he’s really been each week in the game plan”, Harris said.

You hate for your starting quarterback to miss time, but for the 39-year-old Manning and the super bowl-aspiring Broncos, this is what’s needed. That’s probably a good thing – because there’s not a lot of National Football League film of the kid to work with.

The earliest he could be available would be December 13 against the Oakland Raiders. Since leaving Denver, Kubiak owns a matching 1-5 record against the Patriots, with Kubiak’s only win coming in the 2009 finale where New England lost Wes Welker and rested their starters.

Despite doing exactly what I mentioned he should do in my previous post, the Broncos’ win seemed a little too close for comfort. That can cause a problem with Manning’s ego, but that can be managed with the help of Elway, who can tell him the goal is winning, not stats. And if you do that, then you make the decision accordingly with Peyton Manning. Manning wants to play again this season and he is hoping to recover from numerous injuries, including a partially torn plantar fascia and a rib injury.

“It is very clear that Brock Osweiler is getting an audition of sorts today and potentially next week as well”.

“The list of things I’ve learned behind Peyton is endless”, Osweiler said.

He was benched during the performance, and Kubiak later said he regretted playing Manning because of his health.
