Broncos G.M. John Elway: ‘We’re in this game to win’

As the Chiefs has done the previous two drives, they moved the ball well on a tired Denver Broncos defense and came away with their third win in the division.

Denver had the highest market rating, with 45.9/68.

It was an incredible game with twists and turns, and plenty of “I can’t believe that happened” moments.

With 2:47 left, Siemian hit A.J. They got all the way to the Kansas City 44-yard line, but came up against a 4th-&-10, with 1:08 left in overtime. Their win odds were at 53.23%.

The Chiefs defense was gassed, and the Broncos offense had scored on three straight possessions.

Then things got interesting yet again.

I’ll be the first to say that there are many things about Head Coach Gary Kubiak that mystify me. A successful 2-point conversion would have made it a two-score game. An argument may be made he cost the team all nine points for the Kansas City Chiefs in the first half.

The Broncos entered the game with a 9-1 record, while the Chiefs were 7-3 and coming off a loss at Jacksonville.

Talib, an emotional player who also bear-hugged Trevor Siemian after his fourth-quarter touchdown throw, said he apologized to Norwood, who said he accepted the gesture and was moving on. It’s hard to fault them there, but we can always wonder.

The Broncos chose to go for the win with Brandon McManus, who attempted his career high field goal that would’ve been just 2 yards short of the longest ever made in National Football League history.

The Broncos are now in third place in the AFC West and have lost three of their four division games this season.

When the game was flexed into prime time I, like many of you, was concerned about the recent performances of the Chiefs in nationally televised games.
