A source told Us that Harry ultimately made a decision to speak out because of the “level of harassment and scale of character assassination” that Markle had to endure since news of their relationship first broke in late October.
Another royal insider added: “There is just no way Prince Harry would have put that statement out if William had disapproved”. Released via Kensington Palace, the statement confirmed he was in a relationship with Markle, who is known for her role in Suits, and condemned the “racial undertones” of media coverage of her. Now new reports have emerged suggesting that Meghan Markle, the girlfriend of Prince William’s infamous brother Prince Harry, is the reason of the husband and wife’s disagreement.
William, 34, may have even been aware that Harry planned to address the gossip before he even released the statement, as the brothers reportedly addressed the situation before Harry made anything official with Markle. While both brothers issued a statement after an Italian magazine used images of their mother as she lay dying in a auto, Prince William has only spoken out a few times since. That’s what happened when Prince Harry told the world to give some much-needed privacy to his new girlfriend, Suits star Meghan Markle.
