Browns QB Johnny Manziel Tutored by Jon Gruden in Florida

Gruden, a former Super Bowl-winning head coach who serves as a commentator for ESPN, has a reputation for being a quarterbacks guru (his partiality to Chris Simms aside).

Manziel struggled during offseason practices as he continues to adjust to the demands of playing quarterback in the NFL after running the no-huddle, spread attack at Texas A&M.

Recently, it was reported that Manziel went to Tampa Bay, Florida to seek help from one man who knows a thing or two about quarterbacks.

Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel largely has remained out of the spotlight and headlines ahead of training camp, which opens next week.

The source spoke on condition of anonymity because neither the Browns nor Manziel, the 22nd overall pick in last year’s draft, had publicly discussed the tutoring. He reportedly begged the Raiders to draft the former Heisman Trophy victor – they selected Derek Carr instead – and told USA Today that Manziel “has a lot of magic in him.”
