Browns to start Manziel rest of season

The 372 yards are the 10th-most ever in a single game by a Browns quarterback, and Browns coach Mike Pettine said he thought it was “accurate” to say Manziel’s performance against the Steelers was the best the second-year quarterback looked for a full game.

Manziel, who was just named the Browns starting quarterback for the rest of the season, will face no sanction after video of the alleged incident surfaced in which Manziel’s girlfriend Colleen Crowley is heard to say she feared for her life during a traffic stop. I am surely no expert on how rehab clinics operate, but my guess is as they are waving goodbye at the front door upon discharge, the doctors don’t tell clients, “It’s OK to have a couple drinks – just be careful”.

Now it is up to Manziel to obey those digital signs we’ve all driven under while on the freeway: “Drive sober or get pulled over”.
