Bruins Send Former Friar Noel Acciari to P-Bruins
Goalies Malcolm Subban and Zane McIntyre both headed to Providence, leaving Jeremy Smith and Jonas Gustavsson as the likely frontrunners to back up Tuukka Rask in Boston. You like those kinds of things from the young players. It was also [Noel] Acciari’s first scenario he confirmed a number of courage and not to mention fee killed…And [Anton] Blidh just to name some fellows generally there. He stopped 18-of-21 shots and made several excellent saves, but the third goal he allowed that tied the game in the third period for Detroit was not a good one, as he misplayed the angle on Jakub Kindl’s long-range shot. “I’ll try to go out there and be calm and help those guys out, breakouts as clean as possible, make sure I’m talking to them and vice versa”.
Former Providence College hockey star and Johnston native Noel Acciari was sent down to Providence Bruins training camp by Boston head coach Claude Julien.
“Being engaged in the game the way they should be engaged”. [There was] any good to mention about yesterday. He’s always been, I guess, questioned about his skating a little bit.
Rask knows all his preparation isn’t complete without some game action. Julien’s lack of confidence in last year’s backup, Niklas Svedberg, combined with the Bruins’ season-long issues with consistency, led to Rask tying a franchise record with 70 appearances, and his game eventually suffered. It’€™s good for him. “He’s gained a lot of respect in a lot of points in our mind [to the point] where he’s still here, and he’™s still battling for a spot”. Ben Youds was released from Boston’s camp and will join the Providence Bruins camp, which opened yesterday.
Brandon Carlo (Tri-City Americans, WHL) and Jake DeBrusk (Swift Current Broncos, WHL) were returned to their junior teams.
