Bruno Mars Announces He’s Performing During Super Bowl 50

Mars headlined the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey back in 2014.

Viewers of Super Bowl 50 will be exposed to sensational performances from the beginning to the very end of the programme, as pop star Lady Gaga is kicking off the event by singing America’s National Anthem.

Coldplay will of course be this years main act and we are pretty sure “Hymn For The Weekend” will be one of the featured songs as that was a recent song done in collaboration with Beyonce.

We want to believe this SO BAD!!!

So what can we expect from this year’s halftime show?

“One of our favorite places to play in the world is a place called Glastonbury festival, which is a big music festival that happens in England”, he said. “I think we’re going to try and celebrate those and hopefully make a show as memorable as some of our favorites”.

The 30-year-old confirmed he’ll rock a musical “grenade” at Super Sunday for the second time, sharing a photo on Friday evening of him rehearsing at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. “We think they’re all awesome”, the frontman said.

“We wanted to bring that sort of vibe to the Super Bowl halftime show”.

It wasn’t always this way: Indeed, early halftime shows consisted of marching bands, dance troupes, or dated-even-then music medleys.

The Denver Broncos will take on the Carolina Panthers at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
