Bryan Cranston Joins New Power Ranger Movie as Zordon
And now Bryan Cranston will be a giant face projected in a gaseous tube as Zordon in the Power Rangers movie.
The Verge points out that Zordon plays a pivotal role in the Power Rangers universe, acting as the group’s creator and erudite mentor.
But it seems Cranston is very much up for the challenge, as he has already been doing research on the Power Rangers franchise. Cranston’s co-stars will include Elizabeth Banks as arch-villain Rita Repulsa, and Naomi Scott, Becky G., R.J. Cyler, Ludi Lin and Montgomery playing the eponymous rangers. Brian Tyler (Avengers: Age of Ultron; Now You See Me)is the composer and Kelli Jones (Straight Outta Compton, Sons of Anarchy)is the costume designer.
The new and rebooted Power Rangers movie is due for release in 2017, and the official synopsis is bringing back some serious childhood memories!
Power Rangers will hit theaters on March 24, 2017.
