Bryan Cranston wants to play a ‘nasty’ Marvel villain
Bryan Cranston wants to bring his Walter White skills to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In an interview with Metro, Cranston said that he’d love to play the villain in a Marvel movie. “I don’t know what I would do but it would be nasty” he continued.
But if he’s willing to be an actual Marvel villain, he could really stretch his acting skills and play Hypno-Hustler or Hate Monger. But there’s just one thing – Cranston doesn’t want to step into the costume of an existing Marvel nemesis. I don’t know what I would do but it would be nasty’.
For now, Cranston can be seen in the new film Trumbo, which tells the story of a Hollywood screenwriter placed on the blacklist for his political beliefs.
Before Jesse Eisenberg was cast as Lex Luther in Zack Synder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Cranston expressed interest in playing the DC Comics’ supervillain.
While he’s jokingly dismissed that in the past (mostly because he’s pretty sure people only named him as a favourite due to him already having done such a great job as one bald villain), there’s no denying that Cranston would be flawless for that role or any other he takes a fancy to in the superhero genre. We hope he grabs an opportunity soon.
