Bryan Stork trade voided due to failed physical
Essentially, the trade that happened last week doesn’t count, and the Redskins don’t have to deal with the headache anymore. Stork reportedly contemplated retirement before deciding to join the Redskins. Not long thereafter, the Patriots released the player they selected in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
The Pats informed Stork of his release Wednesday.
It was reported that Stork was initially waived five days ago but was traded later that day to the Redskins. There’s a lot of movement between teams and players and everything.
But Washington convinced him not to, and by Friday, Stork was tweeting that he was “looking forward to making more memories” with his new team. (Lichtensteiger didn’t practice Monday as a precaution because of soreness in one of his shoulders, Gruden said).
Jackson, who started nine games at guard in his 2015 rookie season, had his knee scoped in the offseason and was expected to be ready for the regular season but that possibility was wiped out Monday with his landing on the PUP list. In his absence, David Andrews took over his job and performed well. The 25-year-old was part of the squad that won Super Bowl XLIX versus the Seattle Seahawks in the 2014 season. “You know, I think like I said, Kory’s done well”.
New England will likely use the final preseason game of the year this upcoming weekend, to decide on depth at the center position and see if anyone on the field in that contest is worth taking a shot on. “So I think we’ve got four centers in-house that are pretty darn good, so I feel good about the ones that we have”.
