Buckley vows to prove a point after moving to Leeds
Rosler is expected to hand new loan signing Will Buckley his debut after his move from Sunderland was completed on Friday, but striker Chris Wood faces a late fitness test after missing last week’s defeat at Middlesbrough due to an unspecified injury.
“I don’t think Sunderland were that keen on me going at first but they decided that was probably best for me and best for them, too”.
“He brings pace, directness, goal threat and he’s a good lad”, Rosler told the club’s website.
“When Leeds came in, that was the club I wanted to go to”.
“I’ve got a point to prove that I can get back to the Premier League”.
‘It’s important that we’re knocking on that door very hard and play the game the way we want to play the game and force our tactics on the opposition, ‘ he said.
“Will used his first week to get to know everybody, the players, the coaches and the place”.
However, despite good progress being made, Pearson surprisingly stood down from his role to focus on his other business interests recently, leaving Cellino disappointed.
“I think that was a decent performance from us at Middlesbrough and the scoreline was not reflective of the performance”.
“You can see the quality he’s got”. Rosler added that he also has a wealth of experience and also “experience of playing for a team who challenge at the top of the Championship.”
Before a £2.5m move to Sunderland last summer, Buckley enjoyed his footballing career at Watford, Rochdale and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Buckley has left the Black Cats until January 2nd after not being named in Dick Advocaat’s 25 man squad for the Premier League.
