Bucks build big lead, bury Cavs in the fourth quarter
The Bucks are going to need that defense when they go up against arguably the best team in the league.
But one minute into the quarter, the Cavaliers starters re-entered the game.
As Smith embraced Terry, Tony Snell – the man J.R. was supposed to be defending – realized that he was suddenly all alone in the corner, and immediately cut along the baseline toward the basket, demanded the ball, and threw down a couldn’t-be-easier two-handed dunk to push Milwaukee’s lead to three points. Unfortunately the good times didn’t last for long. He finished with seven turnovers and a minus-12 rating. Give Milwaukee credit, they came out, they attacked us, they beat us. “From that point on they got into a rhythm and they’re a rhythm team”. “We’ve got to do it”.
While the fourth-year player out of Greece is officially listed as a small forward, the Bucks have used Antetokounmpo at virtually every position this season. “Milwaukee scored 118 points with only 7 threes”.
What did you think to this game?
Anyways, this game was aggressively not great from the Cavs.
It was a freaky night in the National Basketball Association, one in which the team with the worse record won all six games. The also had five assist on their seven field goals over that stretch.
LeBron had a little bit of a weird night.
His defensive rating per 100 possessions is at a career-best (100), which highlights his improving IQ as a defender. It’s hard to criticize him because him picking spots is in the team’s best interest, but it’s what happened. Hood finished with 19 points.
Perhaps next time Smith and his alter ego will just save their hellos for before and after games, which is the more prudent thing to do. “I talked to him about that also”.
The lone bright spot may have been Kyrie Irving.
Sean Kilpatrick scored 38 points – 31 of them in the fourth quarter and beyond – while Brook Lopez added 27.
Here Antetokounmpo is, helping out on a post player, getting a strip steal, flying out in the fast break, dribbling past Kyrie Irving, then leaping up and over poor Iman Shumpert.
Greg Monroe, who has floundered this season in terms of career-lows, pieced together a wonderful performance.
“You look at what Malcolm has done for us all season – he’s been off the charts”, Milwaukee coach Jason Kidd told reporters.

Greek worldwide Antetokounmpo was ably supported by Jabari Parker (18 points) and Michael Beasley (17) as the Bucks scored a win which improves their season to 8-8. Cavs coach Tyronn Lue was in a far less cheery mood after what was, unmistakably, his team’s worst loss of the season. The prime culprit was 32 percent outside shooting by the Cavs during the quarter.
As previously mentioned, the Cavs play next Thursday against the Clippers.
