Budget airline adds flights from Fort Lauderdale to San Antonio

The flights will operate twice weekly and fly non-stop between Gerald R. Ford global Airport, or GRR, and Punta Gorda Airport, or PGD.

The airline announced the new nonstop destination from the Outagamie County Regional Airport to St. Pete-Clearwater worldwide Airport this morning. The new flights is expected to bring over five thousand additional visitors to Fort Lauderdale and generate an estimated $4.2 million in total visitor spending annually.

Flights will generally be on Fridays and Mondays, said Eric Fletcher, manager of airports for Allegiant. For those who plan ahead, if you book your tickets this week, you can purchase a one-way ticket to Las Vegas for just $49.

“Louis Airport will provide those in attendance with details on an exciting service destination that will soon be available to individuals throughout the St. Louis area”, according to a news release. Louis worldwide Airport was flush with Trans World Airlines flights, and officials thought the region could absorb another airport to handle the spillover.

Allegiant Air on Tuesday announced it will begin offering low-cost, nonstop flights from Oklahoma City to Las Vegas, on November 5, 2015.

Olson said, “We’re going to sell four at a time versus one or two at a time to Las Vegas”. It flies routes only on the most popular days for leisure travelers.
