Buhari returns back to Nigeria 10th March

After a death-rumour-filled 49-day vacation, President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria this morning.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday missed Jumaat prayer at Aso Rock Presidential Villa mosque, Dailytrust report.

He was received by the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Mr Barnabas Yusuf Bala.

Buhari alighted from the aircraft at 7.55am. He greeted provincial and military officials before boarding a helicopter to Abuja.

“Such policies like the fight against corruption is one that I will like President Buhari to sustain because that has improved the image of Nigeria internationally, ” he said. Neither has any indication been given as to when he will resume his presidential duties.

President Muhammadu Buhari is now meeting top government officials led by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

Others included Gov. Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara and top government functionaries.

On his check-up experience while in London, said he had as much rest as could be humanly possible.

He said he had undergone a blood transfusion in London.

He did not, however, state the time he would return. I am feeling much better now.

But he said he was “pleased to be back”, although he disclosed that he may need “further follow-up within some weeks”.

“We pray for the president’s complete recovery and advise the presidency to be more transparent in managing the health of President Muhmmadu Buhari”.

“We consider this decision very patriotic, confirming the President as a statesman and leader who places national interest above personal interests and does not possess the sit-tight mentality typical of many leaders on the continent”, CISLAC said. “United Kingdom food ain’t it for Mr. President apparently”. “The only thing I want to add is that Nigerians should thank God for returning him safely and those wishing him dead should desist from such wishful thinking”.

“The constitution, which we all swore to, is important, because it outlines the code of conduct”.

If President Buhari made Nigerians uneasy by his disappearance, his 9-minute speech at the statehouse probably left them even more unsettled.
