Buick LaCrosse Grille Teased, Debuts at L.A. Auto Show
Buick is now getting ready to officially pull the wraps off the 2017 LaCrosse but before this will actually happen, the company has currently started the teasing game.
Moving away from the design seen on current Buick models, the grille on the 2017 Buick LaCrosse matches that of the Avenir concept. The LaCrosse is an evolution from other Buick models.
“Its expressive design represents a break from convention and highlights the progressiveness in all new Buick models”. Both share a chrome wing that emanates from the tri-shield logo in the center of the grille and visually connects to the crease above the headlight.
All expectations were shattered regarding the new look of a Buick. It calls to mind the face of recent Mercedes-Benz products, and that’s not a bad thing; the question is how much more of the Avenir will be carried through to the first production model to share its likeness. The LaCrosse design was inspired by the 1954 Wildcat II concept. Duncan Aldred is the vice president of Buick.
The LaCrosse is a next generation design. It will sit atop a revised chassis that is lighter and stronger than the current model. It promises to bring a more dynamic driving experience, with five-link rear suspension for a more responsive ride.
This year’s edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show is still in full swing, but automakers from all over the world are already starting to talk about what they have in store for the upcoming shows in Los Angeles and Tokyo.
