‘Bullet Train’ brings first-person shooting to Oculus Touch

Both Whiting and Donaldson were given early access to Oculus’ novel input solution and after experimenting with some early gameplay prototypes, decided to do what they knew best: build a shooter. “You can’t die. You can grab bullets out of the air and throw them back”. Thanks to Unreal Engine technology and the Oculus Touch motion controllers, you can physically interact with an array of weapons, from guns to grenades to missiles, and even feel them through haptic feedback. No one’s ever accused Epic Games of being subtle.
The controls are intuitive, which shouldn’t be shocking since you’re using your actual hands. This offers developers more flexibility with working on the platform.
