Bulls’ Butler wheeled off court with knee injury

Chicago Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler left Friday’s game against the Denver Nuggets with a left knee sprain.
A combination stretcher/wheelchair was brought out from the back hallways of the arena, which Butler initially got into, then waved off prior making his way back to the free throw line.
The same left knee that kept him out of Wednesday’s game in Sacramento looked like it twisted again, and he was wheeled off in a wheelchair right before the half. Butler did shoot free throws before he was carted off, so that is a good sign, but when it’s a knee the worst is expected.
Butler was taken to the locker room on a wheelchair after injuring his leg against the Denver Nuggets on Friday, per Goodwill, but has since limped off under his own power. Given the situation, Butler is a risky daily play, as his status may not be decided until minutes before game-time.
