Bulls recall forward Felicio after Noah separates shoulder
Dallas Mavericks center Zaza Pachulia, right, looks to the basket as Chicago Bulls center/forward Joakim Noah guards during the first half of an NBA basketball game Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, in Chicago.
“It’s tough. He’s such a passionate kid”. And I know he’ll continue to do that. But I really feel bad the fact that he’s going to have to have a surgical procedure to fix this. Chicago immediately set up an MRI for Noah on Saturday.
Noah’s recovery time is expected to be four to six months.
Butler looks to build on the best performance of his career Friday night when the Bulls face the Dallas Mavericks.
“It’s tough”, Hoiberg said. You don’t want to see your man go down like that.
Noah challenged the cheap shot tactics of Kevin Garnett, who typically went after lesser players. It’s physical, and you’ve got to prepare for a mental and physical disposition. “They’re a team that’s going to compete every night. We always knew Jo was going to come back”. Noah still believes that he should receive a significant number of minutes, and the Bulls were not giving him the playing time that he desired.
As CDA News reported, Noah had injured his left shoulder halfway through the Chicago Bulls game against the Mavericks.
Joakim returned just in time to play for a Bulls team that lost two straight in his presence, following a six-game winning streak. Hoiberg also mentioned that Cam Bairstow and undrafted rookie Cristiano Felicio may also be called upon to eat up minutes. While his value was surely eroded by his slippage over the last two seasons, there might have been teams interested in rolling the dice, thinking that a change of scenery and a better system fit would help revive the quality of his play. “I thought Bobby filled in well”.
“I’m confident those guys will do that”.
“This team, we’ve been dealing with a lot of adversity over the years”, said Noah. If the Bulls do not end up resigning him, they will also have to scramble to find someone to take on his role on the team. “That’s going to have to be picked up by the group collectively”. Still, Gasol spoke for many in the Advocate Center while discussing his feelings on Noah’s injury.
In other news on the injury font, forward Mike Dunleavy did non-contact work and participated in defensive drill work with assistant coaches at the conclusion of practice.
“Mike did some non-contact stuff today”.
Another reason the Bulls are struggling once again?
With this latest injury, Joakim Noah’s career in Chicago is in jeopardy.
The Bulls are focused on adjusting to life without Noah for the remainder of the season.
