Bundesliga star medical, Liverpool target blow — Tottenham Transfer News
Bayer Leverkusen have attempted to brush aside reports Heung-Min Son is on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur. It’s believed that the South Korea worldwide is travelling to England to undergo a medical today ahead of a £21.9m switch, which has been agreed with Bayer.
West Brom’s refusal to sell Berahino has forced Tottenham into considering other transfer targets and now according to reports from London24, it has been claimed that Spurs have swiftly moved on to make a swoop for Bayer Leverkusen star Son Heung-Min.
A spokesperson for Leverkusen, who are behind in the tie with Lazio following last week’s 1-0 defeat in Rome, told Kolner Stadtanzeiger on Wednesday: “That is not now our agenda – we are preparing for our most important game of the season”.
Although seperate reports on Wednesday suggested that Erik Lamela is on his way to Inter Milan, which could free up a spot for Son to come in out wide and Spurs will then continue their pursuit of Berahino. Following three years at the Bundesliga stalwarts, he moved on to Bayer Leverkusen in 2013 for a reported €10m.
Son has scored 21 goals in 62 Bundesliga games for Leverkusen, while scoring five times in 19 Champions League appearances following his move from Hamburg in 2013.
