Burger King To Release Mac ‘n Cheetos
They’ll be sold nationwide starting Monday, June 27 for about eight weeks or until supplies run out.
Mac n’ Cheetos go live throughout the United States on June 27.
And Burger King is doing it better than just about everyone else, Friend said.
They say Mac n’ Cheetos are for, quote, “anyone who wished they could eat warm mac n’ cheese like they do a bag of chips”. But, according to The Verge, they’re only going to be available at select Burger King locations in Southern California for the time being.
They are sticks of deep fried mac and cheese, then rolled in crushed Cheetos.
Each order features five deep-fried sticks filled with macaroni and cheese and coated in Cheetos.
Burger King has begun test deployment of their new “Mac n’ Cheetos”. Rather than being puffy corn inside, the Burger King bastardization has macaroni and cheese inside.
People are already eating this news up online, even if it is just to voice their amount of disgust with fast food in America.
It doesn’t hurt that Burger King is backed by Warren Buffett and 3G Capital, which has a deal with PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay, owner of the Cheetos brand.
The new snack represents a creative – or, depending on your perspective, absurd – new take on the trend of portable snacks in the fast-food industry.
PepsiCo, which owns the Cheetos brand in the USA, began to collaborate with Burger King on the product over a year ago, according to Bloomberg.
