Burning grass fire has scorched 1000 acres east of Livermore
Temmermand said no one else has been evacuated.
A fast-moving grass fire east of San Francisco scorched more than 2,500 acres of dry brush near Livermore.
No other structures were in immediate danger because of the fire, Temmermand said.
Temmermand said the blaze prompted the evacuation of dirt bikers and four-wheelers using the park, and it burned a single unoccupied house there.
The Tesla Fire aka the Livermore Fire or Tracy Fire was updated August 20, 2015 just after 8:30 am PST. Officials have not yet been reached to confirm if Carnegie has been reopened this morning.
Flame arrived off Tesla Street near Corral Hollow Path between Livermore and Tracy Wednesday evening.
By shortly before 6 p.m., it had already grown to 500 acres. The fire is 25 percent contained, Cal Fire said. The fire destroyed one structure, and Temmermand said officials were trying to confirm firefighter reports that it appeared to be vacant. “But I know they’re getting gusts of 12 to 13 (mph), so we’ll see”.
