Burnout Paradise May Come To Xbox One – CinemaBlend
Criterion Games is discussing the possibility of bringing Burnout Paradise to Xbox One via the backwards compatibility feature Microsoft announced at its E3 press conference.
Details are pretty thin at the moment, but Criterion promise to have more information soon.
It will be interesting to see what, if any impact backwards compatibility has on sales of the Xbox One once it’s fully rolled out, but for a while, we may run into an awkward period where players trying to take advantage of the feature find half their games working while half don’t.
This update prepares for game streaming to Windows 10 (launching July 29th) and our upcoming Backward Compatibility feature launching in a few months. If you own an Xbox One, your chance to pick up a lot of co-op games for cheap starts tomorrow with Microsoft’s “Ultimate Game Sale“, with a fair number of titles being discounted up to 50% off. It is available right now for Xbox Preview members (by invitation only) but will be available to all starting this fall. The update allows Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers to play multiplayer titles together, each using their respective devices.
Summer is a great time to stay in doors and play video games, especially if you live in an area where it’s in the 80s and it’s humid all day every day. Making Paradise compatible for the Xbox One is the next best thing. Among the many new features in Windows 10 is streaming Xbox One games to a PC or tablet. Microsoft will offer them another 10 percent discount from the retail price of all the games included in the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale. “It also includes the UI issues of porting the app from 5” touchscreen smartphone to the huge resolution of Xbox One running Windows 10.
Microsoft released the latest system update for Xbox One last night, according to Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb.
