Bush ‘personally offended’ by Trump’s ‘Mexican rapists’ comment

The top-tier candidates like Bush, Rubio, and Walker no doubt have been sternly warned by their advisors to avoid getting into spats with Trump at all costs. Huckabee said on CNN’s “State of the Union“. “I ain’t gonna do it. I’m not interested in Republican-on-Republican violence”.

Trump responded to Bush’s criticism.

“Are there some people who come with nefarious goals?” he said. “I believe in securing our border by building a wall, which will protect our safety, economy and national security”, Trump said.

Last month, in a speech announcing that he would seek the Republican presidential nomination, Trump described immigrants crossing the border as risky criminals.

Trump said he does, however, respect one contender for his stance on immigration.

“[Mexico is] sending people that have lots of problems, and they are bringing those problems to us”.

“They are bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they are rapists, and some are good people”, he said.

Trump said Friday that the recent killing of a young woman in San Francisco by a suspect who police say is an undocumented immigrant is further proof of his argument. “He’s doing a really good job of that”. My guess that just about every one of us, if we are honest, have not always reacted well to these situations. We do this because at least in our minds, we accept that there is a grain of truth in what is being said.

“He got a lot of traction out of birther claims, and this newest anti-immigrant rhetoric is just taking it to the next level”, Blair said.
