Byron Scott Says Lakers Don’t Trust One Another on Floor
“Obviously he’s struggling a little right now with his shot”, he said, “and I think everybody can see that, so it’s trying to get him in better positions to be able to have the opportunity to knock those shots down on a consistent basis, that’s No. 1”. “In all honesty, it’s tough when the shots that I take, the pull-up shots, jumpers and contested jumpers, were tough shots to hit at 27”.
After one of the worst performances of his 20-year career, the Lakers star deflected his ever-growing string of horrific shooting nights by declaring the problems of the 2-12 Lakers even greater. I feel okay just pissed, just kinda frustrated w/ what we were doing, it bothered me. “I still want them to try to understand what this is all about, and I understand that they have to try to figure it out at times”.

Scott said Bryant scrimmaged Friday and participated in “75 percent” of the practice.
“I don’t know if it’s his legs”. Maybe it could happen Saturday against the Trail Blazers; he’s averaged 33.1 points in his last seven games in Portland.
Scott said he’s not going to reduce Bryant’s playing time because he has decided “how much he’s going to play per quarter and I’ll stick with that for as much as I can”.
“I’m not really anxious about it, honestly”, Bryant said.
His game has not been what it used to be, but Kobe Bryant is all set to give his career another shot before retiring.
So far, Bryant is shooting 31 percent from the field and 19.5 percent from three-point land.
Barkley pointed out that Bryant is playing like himself, Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing and Karl Malone during their respective final seasons in the league.
Byron Scott says chemistry isn’t the issue, says they “all get along”, just “don’t trust each other on the court”. He has handled the entire situation in Los Angeles the wrong way and doesn’t realize how wrong he is by sticking with Kobe Bryant as his starting shooting guard/small forward and focal point of the offense.
“I’ve seen him play and it’s disgusting”, the anonymous player said.
On Wednesday, Scott clearly stated that he had not even considered reducing Bryant’s role or attempting to cut minutes.
